Each Weekly Email Includes:
1. Your Weekly Planning Step and Ideas on How to Implement
Whether you’ve planned a Science Fair before or not, it’s not always easy to figure out what needs to be done and when. We break everything up into tasks that need to be completed up to three full months before your fair. From securing a location to getting buy-in from the school administrators to finding judges, all you need to know is found here.
2. A Communication Piece for Parents or Students
What would the Science Fair be without participation? It’s not always easy to get everyone excited about your Science Fair, but with our pre-written communications, you’ll have one less thing to think about. Each week, you’ll receive a tip on how to engage both parents and students during your Science Fair season.
3. Opportunities to Learn About Other Science Fair Fun Programs
IMPLEMENT is just one of the many ways that you can Make Science Fair Fun!™ We have programs designed specifically for parents, teachers, and really anyone with a love for STEM. Learn more about the many ways we work to create positive and inclusive Science Fair experiences for all involved.
When should I enroll?
You can enroll and download materials anytime up to 2 weeks before your fair date; however, ideally, to receive the full benefits of the program you should enroll any time 14 weeks or more before your fair date.
In what format are materials provided?
You’ll get all materials in emailed content and links.
What grade levels are the materials intended for?
The current material is geared for elementary school and middle school students. Check back with us in the Spring of 2019 for grade-level banded materials: K–2, 3–5, 6–8, & 9–12.
Can you create custom materials for our school’s event?
We’re getting there. In the Fall of 2019, we’ll be adding an IMPLEMENT package that includes creating a personalized webpage for your school and custom communication pieces populated with information about your school’s Science & Engineering Fair.
Do you organize our Science Fair?
No, we support your school’s Fair Organizer(s) step-by-step over a 14-week time period (or fewer depending on when you sign up for the program). We do this through the weekly emails and, on a more personalized level, with the Weekly Fair Organizer Q&A Live Teleconference. What we provide is the equivalent of a couple of volunteers’ work by creating resources and communication pieces for your fair.
What kind of tips do the Weekly Fair Organizer Milestones & Tips emails include?
Each weekly email – take a peek – has three sections of tips:
- Fair Organizer Milestone and Tips for Success – practical, step-by-step, how to organize a Science & Engineering Fair, from committee member roles to the fair day checkoff list for any time within the 14 weeks leading up to your fair.
- Parent Tips for Effectively Coaching their Kids – you can email or post these tips to help the parents at your school.
- Other Helpful Resources – tap into a number of other free and low-cost resources that will lead to a successful Science & Engineering Fair experience for you and for the students, parents, and teachers at your school.
When will I receive the Weekly Fair Organizer Milestones & Tips?
You will begin to receive emails the Sunday of the 14th week before the fair date you enter, or later if you enroll within the 14 weeks prior to your fair. You will continue to receive weekly emails through the week of the fair date. We will send follow-up emails after your fair date requesting your feedback about our program and participation at your school. Your feedback is critical for sustaining our sponsorships.
